Where I Stand:
Safe Communities. Strong Schools. Good Jobs.
As a prosecutor, Army veteran, father of three, and longtime public servant, I approach every issue with the same principle: lead with integrity and do what works.
I'm running for the Minnesota House because I believe government should focus on the issues that matter most to working families: keeping our communities safe, preparing our kids for the future, lowering everyday costs, protecting our natural resources, and making sure everyone who works hard has the opportunity to build a good life.
-
Every Minnesotan deserves to feel safe in their neighborhood.
As a prosecutor, I've spent my career holding violent criminals accountable while working alongside law enforcement, victims, and community partners. I believe public safety requires both accountability and prevention.
I support:
Strengthening online protections for children.
Giving law enforcement and prosecutors the tools they need to keep violent offenders off our streets.
Strong penalties for repeat violent offenders and criminal vehicular homicide.
Expanding mental health crisis response teams so police can focus on criminal activity while behavioral health professionals respond to mental health emergencies.
Investing in probation, rehabilitation, and treatment programs that reduce repeat offenses and help people successfully reenter society.
Public safety isn't about choosing between accountability and compassion. We need both.
-
Minnesota's public schools are one of our state's greatest strengths.
I believe every child deserves an excellent education regardless of their ZIP code, and every educator deserves the support they need to succeed.
I will work to:
Keep public education dollars in public schools.
Support the Educator Group Insurance Program to help recruit and retain excellent teachers and school staff.
Support parents as partners in their children's education through active local school boards and public engagement.
Address teacher shortages by strengthening recruitment, retention, and professional support for educators.
Strong schools create stronger communities.
-
Minnesota succeeds when working families succeed.
I believe people who work hard should be able to afford housing, raise a family, and retire with dignity.
I support:
Investing in roads, bridges, broadband, and other infrastructure that creates good-paying jobs and supports long-term economic growth.Protecting Paid Family and Medical Leave.
Strong protections for workers and the freedom to organize.
A tax system structured to ensure where the wealthiest pay their fair share.
Economic growth should benefit everyone, not just those at the very top.
-
House District 34A is one of the fastest-growing areas in Minnesota.
I believe government needs to keep up with that growth by making smart investments before problems become crises.
I will work to:
Prioritize road improvements where congestion is already affecting families and businesses.
Expand high-speed broadband and modern infrastructure.
Ensure growing communities receive their fair share of state resources.
Work with local governments to solve infrastructure challenges before growth outpaces public investment.
Good planning today saves taxpayers money tomorrow.
-
Minnesota's lakes, rivers, parks, and public lands are part of who we are.
I believe we can grow our economy while protecting the natural resources future generations deserve to enjoy.
I support:
Expanding clean and renewable energy.
Protecting the Mississippi River, the Crow River, and Minnesota's drinking water.
Permanently protecting the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness from risky copper-nickel mining that threatens its clean water, wildlife, and outdoor economy.
Responsible environmental stewardship that balances economic opportunity with long-term conservation.
The Boundary Waters is one of our nation's greatest natural treasures. Protecting it preserves clean water, supports thousands of Minnesota jobs through outdoor recreation and tourism, and ensures future generations can experience the same wilderness that makes our state unique.
I want to leave behind a state that is livable, accessible, and full of untamed natural spaces for our children.
-
Government works best when it is transparent, accountable, and responsive.
I support:
Protecting access to contraception and reproductive health care.
Making government more transparent and accessible.
Exploring reforms that strengthen public trust, including ranked-choice voting and reasonable term limits.
Even when people disagree, they deserve an elected representative who listens with respect and explains decisions honestly.
-
The biggest challenge facing our state is ensuring that economic growth benefits everyday Minnesotans, not just large corporations and wealthy investors.
I will fight for policies that strengthen local communities, invest in working families, support small businesses, and keep Minnesota a place where the next generation can afford to build their future.
Together, we can build a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Minnesota.
